Most whiskey stories start in Scotland or Kentucky — this one starts in San Jose. 10th Street ferments domestic two-row barley, double-distills it in copper pot stills with California Sierra water, then ages it in barrels that are shaved, toasted, and recharred for extra caramelization. Bottled without chill-filtering at 46% ABV, it opens with buttery caramel and spice, moves into cherry, vanilla, nutmeg, and clove, finishing round with candied fruit. Double gold at the New York and San Francisco spirits competitions. Try it neat or in an old fashioned.
