Shinju — Japanese for "pearl" — is a blended Japanese whisky built around alpine water drawn from the slopes of Mt. Fuji, and that soft-water character shows. Double distilled, it brings together four distinct expressions aged an average of three years in American white oak. Expect honey, bright orange and vanilla, a herbaceous whisper and a light brush of oak, all easygoing and well balanced. Sip it neat, pour it over ice, or let it carry a highball or an Old Fashioned.
