From the mineral-rich red soil of Jalisco's Highlands comes Santaleza Añejo, a tequila built the old way—agave crushed with a traditional tahona stone before resting a minimum of sixteen months in first-fill American bourbon barrels. The result is a golden-hued sipper layered with honeysuckle, toasted orange, and oak, giving way to leather and cooked agave on the palate, then a slow finish of dried fruit and white pepper. Pour it neat to let the barrel character unfold, or build it into an añejo old fashioned for something richer.
