Overview

More Info

Sango reimagines agave spirit-making on African soil, where Agave Americana and Salmiana grown across South Africa's Karoo and Eastern Cape are pit-roasted, fermented with Drakensberg river water and wild yeast, then triple distilled. The reposado rests in South African red wine barrels, taking on vanilla, dark chocolate, and caramel around a core of bell pepper, sun-dried tomato, lime, and cumin. Medium-bodied with a bold, lingering finish. Pour it neat or in a spiced margarita for a genuinely new take on agave spirits.

Tipxy AI Overview

What people across the internet are saying
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ 4/5 AI Rating

Reviewers including Drinkhacker and Wine Enthusiast highlight Sango Reposado as a distinctive South African agave spirit rested in red wine oak: vanilla, dark chocolate, almond and coconut with cinnamon-nutmeg spice. Critics call it more traditionally reposado-style than the blanco. Aggregated sentiment: curious and positive.
