Sake from Mexico? Absolutely. Nami is brewed at the Sakecul microbrewery in Culiacan, Sinaloa, where a Mexican team works alongside guidance from Japan's centuries-old Nakashima brewing family. This Tokubetsu Junmai uses Yamada-Nishiki rice polished to 55%, landing at 16% ABV with a soft -1 SMV. Expect aromas of green apple, lychee, guava and pear, a lightly sweet, fresh palate, and a long finish. Pour it well-chilled in a wine glass alongside ceviche, oysters, or a bright salad.
