Sake from Mexico? NAMI is the discovery here, brewed at the Sakecul microbrewery in Culiacan, Sinaloa, and recognized as the country's first premium sake brand. This Junmai Ginjo uses Yamada-Nishiki rice polished to 50%, landing at 16% ABV with a clean, smooth feel. Expect bright aromatics of melon, green apple, lychee, guava and pear, slightly sweet with a full body and long finish. Pour it well-chilled in a wine glass, alongside sushi, ceviche or a warm evening with friends.
