Sabra is an Israeli chocolate-orange liqueur first developed in 1963 by Edgar Bronfman, Sr. of Seagram to be a distinctly Israeli spirit, and is produced today by Binyamina Winery with U.S. import by Royal Wine Corp. The liqueur blends rich, bittersweet chocolate with the sweet-tart bite of Jaffa oranges, bottled at 30% ABV in a bulbous bottle modeled on a 2,000-year-old Phoenician wine flask discovered in Tel Aviv. It is typically sipped chilled or used to build dessert cocktails and coffee drinks.
