Tipsy Sauce - Caramel Hard Sauce
Overproof rum with restraint is a rare pairing. Distilled in Bayamon, Puerto Rico and aged two years in American white oak, this bottling lands at a hefty 138 proof (69% ABV) yet keeps its fruit in balance: burnt caramel, overripe banana and dried apricot up front, with cinnamon, dark raisin and a woody finish underneath. No added sugar, no caramel coloring, and rainwater is the only thing cut in. Built for cocktails, or open it up with a splash of water.
Tasting notes
Bold from the start, with hints of burnt caramel, overripe banana, and dried apricots that swarm the palate. Deeper layers of cinnamon and dark raisins, with a woody finish. Complex flavor that at first overpowers but soon balances perfectly with the strong over proof nature of the rum.
