Most tequilas don't dare sit in barrel past three years — Rejon's Extra Añejo pushes to five, sometimes nine, mellowing in American oak in the lowlands of Jalisco until it drinks closer to a fine whiskey than blanco's punchy agave. Made from 100% Blue Weber agave at 88 proof, expect rich caramel color, soft almond and vanilla on the nose, and a spiced oak finish. Pour it neat or over one big rock and let it slow down.
