Orange bitters had nearly vanished from bar shelves when cocktail authority Gaz Regan set out to bring them back, riffing on a recipe from Charles Baker's 1930s Gentleman's Companion. The "No. 6" nods to the six prototypes it took to get there. Made by Sazerac, it layers dried orange peel with cardamom, coriander, caraway, cinchona and gentian for a zesty, boldly bitter punch.
