The Redbreast Kentucky Oak Edition is triple distilled in copper pot stills and matured in American Bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts. Then it’s finished for a minimum of 4 months in hand selected, air-dried American Oak from the Taylor family farm in Kentucky. The sweet notes of vanilla and elevated wood spice give you an unmistakable taste of Southern hospitality. Redbreast Irish Whiskey, created by Irish Distillers at Midleton Distillery, is embarking on an exciting new chapter as it unveils a dedicated whiskey collection for the United States. The American Oak series celebrates the influential and integral role of native wood in the production of Redbreast Irish Whiskey, giving provenance to the wood and unique American Oak influences to the whiskey.
Tasting notes
Nose: Opens with notes of freshly cut cedarwood, almond and vanilla. Sweet fruit and warming charred wood influences complement the pot still spices.
Taste: Cinnamon, nutmeg and clove build over time working in tandem with the oak’s rich tannins. Autumnal fruit notes delicately linger with sweet and decadent notes of brown sugar toffee and vanilla.
Finish: Fruits are the first to slowly fade, leaving the pot still spices to linger in harmony with the sweet and intricate American oak.
