Tipsy Sauce - Caramel Hard Sauce
Most bourbon finishing sticks to French or American oak — Red Line pushed further, aging this Indiana-distilled bourbon (75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley, blended from 5-year stock) an extra six months in Amburana oak, a Brazilian hardwood more commonly used for cachaça. The wood pushes big cinnamon, clove, and gingerbread-cookie spice, with hints of fresh wood and a peppery finish. Bottled at 103 proof (51.5% ABV). Pour it neat to catch the spice, or over one large cube on a cooler evening.
Tasting notes
With complex notes of maple, honey, butterscotch, toasted nuts, ginger, this sweet and spicy sipper is a winner.
