Discovered forgotten in a cellar corner after a traditional Ténarèze estate ceased production, this 1987 vintage comes from Château de Hontambère's Rare Armagnac Collection — small-batch releases of rediscovered casks from Gascony, France. Distilled from 100% Ugni Blanc and rested roughly 34 years in oak, it's bottled unadulterated at natural cask strength, showing deep amber color, orange peel, toasted nuts, dried stone fruit, and a warm rancio finish.
