Slivovitz is Central Europe's answer to brandy — plum instead of grape — and Rudolf Jelinek has been distilling it in the same Moravian town, Vizovice, since 1891. This Gold expression starts with late-harvest plums, goes through a triple distillation, then rests a full ten years in oak until it takes on a cognac-like amber hue with a soft, fruit-forward finish and woody backbone.
