Crafted by the legendary Master Distiller Enrique Fonseca at the historic Tequilena Distillery, Purasangre Reposado Tequila honors Mexico's deep-rooted agave traditions with nine months of aging in French oak casks. This additive-free reposado from the Tequila, Jalisco region is a connoisseur's expression that bridges old-world craft with refined, modern character.
Purasangre sources its agaves from Atotonilco El Alto, a highland region prized for producing intensely flavored piñas. The juice undergoes a meticulous two-stage distillation, first in stainless steel alembic pot stills and then in copper pot stills, before resting in French oak to develop its layered complexity. NOM 1146 marks its authentic Jalisco origin.
Purasangre Reposado shines in a classic Tequila Old Fashioned, where its oak and caramel notes take center stage, and holds its own equally well in an Oaxacan-inspired Paloma with grapefruit and honey.
Best enjoyed neat or on the rocks to fully appreciate its layered profile, Purasangre Reposado Tequila is produced from agaves grown in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, and bottled at 80 proof with no additives.
Nose: Cooked agave, light oak, and mild dried fruit open with warmth and subtle sweetness.
Palate: Spicy cinnamon leads, followed by touches of oak, caramel, and a pleasant herbality on a medium-bodied frame.
Finish: A lingering sweet caramel fades gracefully with a peppery undertone.
