Purasangre - Extra Anejo Tequila
Five years resting in French oak casks produces something rare: a Tequila from Jalisco that rivals the world's finest aged spirits, bearing the unmistakable signature of Master Distiller Enrique Fonseca at the legendary Tequilena Distillery.
Crafted at NOM 1146 in the heartland of Tequila, Jalisco, Purasangre sources its agaves from Atotonilco El Alto and employs a two-stage distillation, first through stainless steel alembic pot stills and then through copper pot stills, before this extra anejo begins its long, patient rest. The result is additive-free tequila rooted in Mexico's oldest distilling traditions.
This is a sipping tequila above all else, but its depth and richness make it a show-stopping pour in an Old Fashioned or alongside a perfectly crafted Oaxacan Old Fashioned riff where aged spirit complexity takes center stage.
Best enjoyed neat or over a single large ice cube to let the oak and agave character fully open up. Purasangre Extra Anejo is produced from agaves grown in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco, the storied heartland of premium tequila production.
