Here's a tequila that dials things back on purpose: Punta Santos comes in at 28% ABV (56 proof), well under the usual 40-50% range, while still tasting like the real thing. It's made from 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the Jalisco Highlands, distilled at a Arandas NOM facility using only the "corazon," the purest heart-cut of the run. Expect citrus and smoke up front, a whisper of vanilla and cereal, and a clean, gentle finish. Sip it over ice or shake it into a lighter-proof margarita.
