Presidential 20 Year Tawny Porto comes from C. da Silva, a Port house founded in 1862 in Vila Nova de Gaia at the mouth of Portugal's Douro Valley. This tawny spends two full decades aging in seasoned oak casks, mellowing from a deep ruby into an amber-gold Port with real complexity. Expect toasted hazelnut, dried fig, butterscotch, and a thread of warm spice on the nose, carrying through to a caramel-and-walnut palate with a long, sweet finish. Serve it lightly chilled as an aperitif, or pour it after dinner alongside aged cheese, walnuts, or a dark chocolate dessert.
