Potocki traces back to a Polish noble family's 1784 distillery in Galicia — destroyed in WWII, its rye vodka recipe revived and now distilled in Pomerania near the Baltic. Made from local rye, double distilled and left charcoal-filter-free, it keeps a genuine grain backbone: soft rye bread and vanilla up front, a peppery spice through the middle, and a long, dry, cereal-toned finish. History in a glass without being fussy about it. Pour it well-chilled and neat, or let it anchor a clean, grain-forward Martini.
