Porfidio Extra Anejo is a triple-distilled, 100% blue agave extra añejo tequila from Jalisco, Mexico.. This expression earned a Gold Medal at the 2000 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and it remains one of the more technically distinctive tequilas on the market thanks to its pioneering use of German distillation technology designed to dramatically reduce methanol content.
Aroma: A pronounced agave nose leads, followed by brown sugar and warm baking spice. Underneath, subtle hints of orange zest and dill emerge as the spirit opens up in the glass.
Taste: The entry is full-bodied with immediate caramel sweetness and stewed agave. The mid-palate develops layers of vanilla, cinnamon, and toasty oak, while orange zest and a faint herbaceous dill note add unexpected dimension. The mouthfeel is rich and rounded, carrying the flavors with notable weight.
