Overview

Arneis has a reputation as a rather troublesome variety, much like the Nebbiolo grape; it needs specific climatic conditions stemming from the unique Piedmont terroir, such as the morning mists descending from the Alps. The Terre Alfieri area is located between the towns of Asti and Alba, thus overlapping the Roero and Nebbiolo d'Alba areas. The nose is very aromatic, with delicate floral and citrus blossom and a hint of petrol. In the mouth, pears, green hints, minerality and high acidity lead to a fruity, tropical finish with a touch of bitterness and minerality. A very refreshing wine.
