Opus One 2023 is the latest vintage from the Napa Valley estate founded in 1978 by Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Chateau Mouton Rothschild. The blend is 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec, aged 19 months in new French oak. Grown in the estate's Oakville vineyards, it shows red fruit, cherry blossom and dried violet aromas with a structured, silky-tannin palate leading to a red plum and sweet oak finish.
