A Fantastic Tequila At A Fantastic Price!

"I'm constantly looking for the next fantastic agave juice! I have years of knowledge and am a well-versed tequila enthusiast. Bottom line: For the price, this juice is unbeatable! It is a beautiful Blanco to sip, rich of citrus flavors made entirely from pure agave. It routinely outperforms its significantly more expensive competitors. Nose: grassy, lime, lemon. Initial taste: pure agave citrus, lemon. Finish: smooth, long, epic, warm. This is the tequila I purchase 75% of the time because it is not only reasonably priced, but it also competes with spirits costing twice as much!"

High-quality flavors

"Recently purchased three tequilas in various price ranges. Olmeca Altos has a price in the center. It somewhat outperformed the more expensive pricing (Siete Leguas). Full agave tastes, delicate citrus zing, and extreme cleanliness. both straight and in a margarita, sipped this. Really good."

Historically, Agave !

"As far as I'm aware, this brand uses no additives when crushing and cooking its agave, using brick/stone ovens and a Tahona. Additionally, the scent has a wonderful, mouthwatering aroma of cooked agave. The conclusion is questionable; it might be a sipper for some people but not for others. But the cost. Unbeatable value."

Currently, My Fave!

"This tequila is excellent, especially considering the price. It smells and tastes like agave, has a mild peppery flavor, and is unmistakably sweeter than most tequilas. It is similar to Don Julio Blanco, at least in mixed form. It's normally advisable to mix some orange juice with blanco tequila because it was designed to be mixed. perhaps a few lime squeezes."

Excellent tastes and smooth!

"This Blanco received a 96 in 2011 from the "ultimate Spirits Challenge". . . not sure if that is a reputable establishment, but the score is indicative of the excellence of this tequila. This has become my favorite Blanco, and at this price. . . what a steal. Yes, unlike some tequila snobs, I DO enjoy Patron and Avion Silver, but I like this better. And at half the price? WOW!!I mix 75% Altos with 25% clean water, over ice. . . what superb flavors! Smooth fresh agave, nice sweetness. . . maybe it is the stone grinding, old school stuff. . . but whatever it is, it is VERY pleasant!"

Fantastic Pernod Ricard 100% agave tequila

"The Altos reposado and this blanco are both really affordable. The process used to create this 100% agave tequila is the same one used to create Patron. A tahona, a sizable stone wheel used to crush the agave and extract the juice before fermentation, is used to make some of the tequila. A portion is created using shredded agave, and the two ingredients are combined to create the finished product, which is then bottled for sale. Retail price for The Patron is $48 including tax. Try the Altos and save yourself some cash."

Justine C. (4/5)

The benchmark for tequila is this.

"The nose is ordinary, but the flavor is pleasant and delicious in the middle. However, the finish may be a little rough and uneven. I measure all other tequilas against this one. You can't beat it for $43 for 1 liter either. My go-to for cheap. B"

Outstanding Value and fantastic for margaritas

"This brand has been pleasing me for over a year. a great margarita mixer. great tequila for everyday use. Save the more expensive drink for special occasions or for sipping."

Howell M. (5/5)

A great value. improved shots

"Excellent Tequila at an excellent price. makes excellent beverages and is even better as a shot. doesn't burn as much as other tequilas."

Scout S. (4/5)

Agave flavor can be detected in it.

"One oz. is one of my favorite ingredients because the recipe itself is a little sweet. 3 jiggers of freshly prepared pineapple juice, Altos Plata Tequila, and Simply Lemonade mix in a lime."
