Tipsy Sauce - Caramel Hard Sauce
Meet the bourbon that started it all: before the Jim Beam name existed, the Beam family in Clermont, Kentucky bottled this under the Old Tub label. It's a Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Bottled in Bond at 100 proof from a mash of 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley, then left non-chill-filtered. Expect floral honey and oak with clove and a lift of citrus zest. Pour it neat, over a big rock, or in an Old Fashioned.
Tasting notes
In the glass, Old Tub presents a deep amber hue, releasing an inviting aroma of caramel, vanilla, and a hint of charred oak. The palate delivers a robust flavor profile with notes of toffee, dried fruits, and a subtle spiciness.
The 100 proof amplifies the whiskey's intensity, while the traditional sour mash process contributes to a well-balanced sweetness. The finish is warm and lingering, leaving impressions of cinnamon, leather, and a touch of smoke.
