Bottled at nearly barrel strength (107 proof), it gets only a touch of Kentucky limestone water before it hits the glass. Expect sweet vanilla, caramel and pecan on the nose, then robust wheat, cherry and oak, closing long and smoky. Pour it neat, or over a single big cube.
Tasting notes
Nose: Sweet and soft, with notes of wheat, corn and custard. Caramel, candy floss and dried fruits.
Palate: Rich and thick with notes of caramel, vanilla, dates, walnuts, coffee beans and soft oak. Very buttery and incredibly smooth.
Finish: Long and spicy with notes of gingernut biscuit and golden syrup on the tail.
