Paying homage to the iconic Old Prentice Distillery—the historic site in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, that helped shape American whiskey history—Old Prentice Single Barrel Special Release Bourbon Whiskey delivers timeless craftsmanship and rare, unrepeatable flavor. Selected from hand-picked individual barrels, each bottle reflects the unique interaction between wood, climate, and time, ensuring no two barrels are ever identical.
Distilled from a traditional sour mash and aged to maturity in heavy-char new American oak barrels, this special release is bottled as a single-barrel expression to preserve its full strength and authentic character. Rich, full-bodied, and beautifully balanced, Old Prentice captures the depth of aged oak alongside layers of sweet caramel, toasted spices, and rich stone fruit.
Nose: Robust aromas of dark brown sugar, toasted vanilla, and charred oak, blended with hints of dried cherry, nutmeg, and polished leather.
Palate: Full and velvety on the tongue. Deep flavors of buttery caramel, roasted pecans, and maple syrup merge with warm cinnamon spice and a touch of rye pepper.
Finish: Long, warming, and satisfying with lingering impressions of toasted oak, dark cocoa, and sweet vanilla spice.
