What a wonderful bourbon!

"Let the cards fall now that the word has been spread. A 114 proof Bourbon that costs $38, in my opinion, cannot be very good. There is simply no way. Nevertheless, I purchased a bottle and then several more. At such a great value, this bourbon is excellent. It is fine to drink straight Bourbon, and it definitely contains enough alcohol to survive a few ice cubes. It is one of the few Bourbons I purchase in the $20 to $20.40 price range and has more taste than I anticipated. If you haven't already, buy an OGD 114; it's the real deal and a fantastic bargain."

Doesn't really get much better

"Wow, is this fantastic, and for the price it can't be better, I thought after seeing the recommendation on YouTube. The value is as good as it gets at $38 and the taste is extremely good—not the finest I've ever had, but definitely in the top 10—so I wish the ratings included both taste and pricing."

A total of five uncut diamonds

"Old Grand Dad doesn't taste at all in this. It is delightful to sip with just two drops of tap water. However, use caution when drinking it. After placing a sip on your tongue and chewing it up to get rid of the overproof, exhale. If you drink quickly, it can withstand scotch ice balls (without additional water)."

Cost-effective Cask Strength

"Younger whisky, oak-centric, high-rye mash bill. GLENCAIRN GLASS WITH LID, MANY DROPS OF WATER TO OPEN, MORE THAN FIVE MINUTE WAIT TIME FOR TASTINGNOSE: Eucalyptus, cinnamon and nutmeg in greater amounts, oak. PALATE: Similar to the nose in texture and fullness, with a lingering eucalyptus flavor. FINISH: brief, full, pleasant light burn (needs additional aging to best meld with barrel wood). The most affordable cask-strength bourbon available. For anything visibly better, you would have to spend at least twice as much. The best daily pour without a doubt. Pleasant weight, mouthfeel, and youthful burn. Wild Turkey Rare Breed's tongue is rounded for a little longer. Since I personally hold at least 12 batches spanning over five years even before batchname were given, Booker's is definitely the finest value cask strength (particularly 2018 batch 3)."

Don't be afraid, give a 114 a shot

"This Bourbon is supercharged. It is crude and leathery on its own and unappealing to drink. When you add water to taste, it transforms into a wonderful experience. This Bourbon's primary flavor is rye. Intense leather, caramel, vanilla, and horse saddle are present at entry. More leather, ripe, pungent fruits, cigar tobacco, and overripe fruits dominate the mid-palate. More caramel, fruits, and tobacco are present in the lengthy, drawn-out finish, along with the sting of overproofing. Although it has a syrupy mouthfeel and consistency, it is not quite as sweet as you might anticipate. Your taste receptors will need to acclimate to the flavor onslaught because the body is substantial. I really urge you all to taste it because it is a truly distinctive Bourbon experience. You just need one bottle during the colder months of the year. Magnificence in a bottle. This is better than the $60 Bookers any day of the year in my opinion."

I'm really astounded by this.

"In a blind tasting test, this triumphed over Wild Turkey 101 and Larceny for me. With its complexity, it appeared to be more three dimensional than the others. High rye mash bill is obviously audible."

This is for the big guys

"A strong, unfussy bourbon! forceful, flavorful, and strong. Not something you would drink every day, but if you like bourbon, you must try it. No ice, no water is how I like it."

They Wouldn't Let Me Use The Other Word, Goodness!

"Always a fantastic whiskey at a reasonable price point. In the sea of fad and over-priced whiskeys this is a go to for me"

Fantastic for the bucks

"A wonderful price on a quality bourbon. I strongly advise giving it a shot."
