Obsidian Ridge's Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon is produced by Obsidian Wine Co. from its namesake vineyard at roughly 2,300 feet in the Mayacamas Mountains, within the Red Hills appellation of Lake County, California. The volcanic, mineral-rich soils and high elevation give the 2019 vintage notable structure and concentration. Aged largely in Hungarian oak barrels, the wine shows black cherry, blackberry, graphite and dark chocolate, backed by firm, age-worthy tannins. It is the winery's signature bottling and a showcase of the site's mountain-grown intensity.
