Grown, malted, and distilled entirely within Château Laujac's 400-hectare Médoc estate near Bordeaux, this single malt marks a rare French take on whisky. Double-distilled in small Carle-style stills, it rests two years in French oak, then a year more in the estate's own Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot casks, picking up baking-spice, vanilla, and orange-caramel notes with a smooth, lingering finish. It earned a Silver Medal from USA Spirits Ratings. Pour it neat after dinner, in place of a cognac.
