This Mezcal is produced in small batches with a maximum of 4000 bottles per batch. Every batch has hand-picked agaves at their perfect age and condition to produce the best mezcal. The agaves are produced locally in Santiago Matatlan, the best land to produce agaves, according to our Maestro Mezcalero. The cooking process has been perfected over more than 50 years of experience by the Maestro Mezcalero. The agaves are cooked in the best possible conditions, resulting in Mezcal with the best flavors that agave and wood can provide while cooking. No additives or chemicals are added during fermentation, and no water is added after destilation. All this gives Negra Soledad a unique and artisanal flavor, generated only by organic products and generations of Mezcal production experience.
