Naked Grouse takes its name from the "naked" first-fill Oloroso sherry casks it's finished in — vessels that have never held whisky before, so they hand over pure, concentrated sherry character. Blended from single malts including Macallan, Highland Park, and Glenturret at 43% ABV, it opens with buttery toffee and orchard fruit, moves into dried fruit, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and finishes on dark chocolate and orange spice. Sip it neat to catch the sherry influence, or build it into a whisky sour.
