Mount Gay's master blender Trudiann Branker took a rum built entirely from column stills, unusual for a house known for blending in pot-still funk, and let it rest six years in seasoned Madeira wine casks. Barbados meets a 300-year-old Portuguese fortified wine tradition, and the result leans into pear, oak, grapefruit, vanilla, and butterscotch on the nose, with honey, dried fruit, and citrus rind carrying through to a dry finish. Bottled at 55% ABV, non-chill-filtered. Pour it neat and let the Madeira notes unfold.
