Montelobos Espadin brings the smoke and soul of Oaxaca to the glass. Crafted at Palenque Montelobos in Santiago Matatlán, organically grown espadín agave is pit-roasted over encino and pine, crushed by mule-drawn stone tahona, wild-fermented in open pine vats, and copper-distilled three times. The result is 86-proof mezcal layered with damp earth, honey, citrus, and asparagus, balancing cooked and green maguey with nutty, herbal smoke.
