Astonishingly Good, Budget Expression is Excellent
"To get down to brass tacks, this mix of grain, sherry, and smoke is exceptionally cautious and nearly proportional, with a nuanced hint of incense, floral, and herbal notes at the conclusion. A great value given the price. Let to sit for five minutes to properly open up. I will continue to enjoy this great whisky for drinking."

Surpassed Expectations
"As we try to sample a variety to broaden our palates, my son picked up a bottle. The name struck me as a little weird, but amazing. Excellent with a lovely wet taste that immediately enters your mouth and a little dry aftertaste. One of the greatest blends I've tasted in a very long time, the barley mixture is unquestionably beautifully done. Excellent work. great notes of a taste that almost resembles rye. . . Without a doubt, I'm impressed."

I've never experienced a better blended scotch under $50.
"Very pleasantly pleased by this blend's complex floral and woody aromas, as well as its smoothness and well-balanced flavors of stone fruit, pear, vanilla, and spice. It also has a long, soft finish that is typically associated with some of the finer single malts. Strongly suggested."

The Shoulder is decent but not exceptional.
"I was eager to try "the Shoulder" after a friend highly suggested it. Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations, but I thought it was only 'good'. Definitely needs some water or a big ice cube to help it out. The flavors aren't as well-rounded as they may be, and they're a little harsher than you'd expect. Having said all of that, the price is more than reasonable, and I wouldn't turn it down if it were provided. When I'm out of it, I just won't bother to look for it."

Sweetie Bomb from Monkey Shoulder
"From start to finish, MS is pure bliss. A lot of honey, sweetness, a VERY LITTLE touch of spice, and floral aromas are present. The conclusion is brief yet enjoyable. I generally adore Islay scotch but it's good to have a really smooth and easy dram every now and then. If you want a SUPER easy sipper at a budget price, you can't go wrong with MS. By the way, you wouldn't realize that this beverage has a 43% ABV. This whisky is SOFT! True, it's a blended scotch, but a decent blend is just fine. This mixture works well."

Tasty and Tender
"This whisky has a remarkable flavor and drinks really well. It's a wonderful choice for a mixed. Because of his name, most people definitely don't trust it, but I don't care. Without a doubt, I heartily endorse this product."

Odd name. great whisky
"I tried this on The Whisky Vault's recommendation because I, like a couple of the other whisky drinkers here, am a fan, and they were right. The nose and palate both respond favorably to monkey shoulder. It is a fantastic option, in my opinion, for both novice and seasoned Scotch drinkers. It rapidly rose to the top of my favorites list."

Simple Blending and Smooth
"On a scotch sampling tour to Scotland, I had my first taste of Monkey Shoulder. After some powerful peaty selections, its smoothness caught my attention. I always keep it in my cabinet, and it's good for the price. I've decided to spend my winter evening beside the fire. Well, I do have others at more expensive price ranges, but this mellow blend is ideal for simple nights at home."

Pleasant and Calm
""Because I've been a lover of Johnnie Black for more than 20 years, that is the Flavor Profile I've used for my remarks. My initial tasting of this Scotch was extremely surprise in that it was very smooth with a really wonderful, really mellow backside, just the slightest trace of charcoal, and a really nice scent on the nose. I rather enjoyed this Scotch quite a deal, and have since purchased a second bottle to drink. I sincerely hope you find this to be enjoyable. ""

Not a substitute for single malt
"I only ever consume single-malt scotch, and I never combine it with anything else. This scotch is not even close to being of high grade. You must blend it. Although it's certainly better than most in a mixed drink, don't assume you can add a splash of water and still like this."
