Metaxa 12 Stars is a Greek grape brandy from the House of Metaxa, blending fine wine distillates aged in medium and heavily toasted oak casks with sweet Muscat wine sourced from the island of Samos, then rounded out with an elixir of Mediterranean herbs. The double aging brings a radiant amber color and a nose of orange peel, coffee, and chocolate, moving into a palate of dried fruit, citrus, and warm spice with a long, aromatic finish. It's built for sipping neat or on ice, though it holds its own in a brandy-based cocktail too.
