Matar - Sauvignon Blanc Semillon Dry White Wine
This wine is a blend of 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Semillon grapes grown in the Galilee, Israel. It has a really nice clear color with a tinge of light green and a tinge of hay color. The smell is incredibly enticing, very strong of sauvignon blanc, grapefruit, melon, specifically canteloupe, and maybe even some honeydew. There are also some aromas of some honeysuckle, fresh lemons but more of lemon zest then fruit. It is a very clean wine with not a lot salinity or minerality to the taste, just clean fruit. The wine is super light bodied, very floral in the mid palate with more melon and grapefruit flavors. There is a nice amount of acid, strong but not bracing, well balanced. The wine finishes with the acid nicely and is really refreshing, super crisp. The finish is really nice and it leaves your mouth super refreshed but maybe just a touch too much acid.
