Overview

Antinori's Chianti Classico Riserva is sourced straight from the Tignanello estate — the same limestone-and-marl hillside behind Antinori's legendary Super Tuscans. Built mostly from Sangiovese, it spends about a year in French and Hungarian oak barriques, then rests another year in bottle before release. Expect ruby color, black cherry and raspberry jelly on the nose, and a silky, cocoa-tinged finish. Pour it alongside grilled steak or aged pecorino and give it a few minutes to open up.
