Nero d'Avola is Sicily's signature red, and Mandrarossa's version comes from organically farmed vines on limestone hillsides in Menfi, on the island's southwest coast. Fermented with a short 6-8 day maceration, then rested in steel rather than oak, it stays true to the grape: ruby-purple in the glass, with black cherry, plum, and red mulberry carrying through to a soft, juicy finish. Pour it slightly cool alongside cured meats, aged cheese, or a pasta ragù.
