Tipsy Sauce - Caramel Hard Sauce
Malahat Spirits is named for a Prohibition-era schooner that delivered more contraband rum than any other ship on the Pacific coast, earning it the nickname Queen of Rum Row. In San Diego, the distillery pot-distills a molasses-based rum, then infuses it with black tea leaves for this small-batch expression, bottled at 70 proof. Clean and smooth, it lets the tea's boldness meet the rum head-on rather than hide it. Pour it over ice with a lemon wedge, or stir into lemonade.
