Here's a blanco with a backstory — Mala Vida comes from Alex González of the band Maná, made in Jalisco from 100% blue Weber agave in an old-fashioned style. Unaged and bottled at 40% ABV, it leans intense: cooked agave up front, bright grapefruit citrus, and fruity apple and cantaloupe, rounded out with spicy clove and anise. The body sits medium and balanced. Sip it neat as an aperitif, or let its intensity carry a margarita alongside grilled fish or chicken.
