Makashvili Mtsvane comes from Kakheti, Georgia's oldest wine region, where winemakers still ferment in qvevri — massive clay vessels buried underground, some centuries old. The Mtsvane grapes ferment on their skins with wild yeast and no added sulfites, producing a deep amber-hued orange wine layered with ripe apricot, citrus peel, green tea, and walnut.
