A new addition to Macallan's Double Cask range, using whisky aged for over three decades in both sherry-seasoned American and European oak.
The oldest release in the series so far, and it sounds like it embodies all the recognisable sherried Macallan notes you'd expect with sweet toffee, ginger, dried fruits and spice.
Tasting notes
Nose – Fresh honeycomb, sweet toffee, red apple, fig and vanilla pod.
Palate – A smooth melody of cinnamon, ginger, Madagascan vanilla, dried fruits and oak.
Finish – Sweet oak, soft spice and toffee.
