Lucid Winery's L.08 "Wanderlust" comes from the Sacramento urban winery that opened its doors mid-pandemic delivering mini bottles by bicycle. This red blend is aged across an unusually wide range of woods — French oak, whiskey-charred American oak, maple, hickory, mesquite, and Brazilian Amburana — layering blackberry, fig, and plum jam with peppery spice, smoked meat, cinnamon, vanilla, coconut, and clove. Grapes are harvested late for maximum ripeness. Pour it alongside grilled short ribs or a smoky barbecue plate.
