Born in 1876 as the private cuvée Louis Roederer created for Tsar Alexander II, Cristal remains one of Champagne's most storied prestige bottlings, still poured from its signature flat-bottomed crystal bottle. Made only in exceptional years from roughly 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir grown across the house's own chalk-soil parcels, it rests six years in the cellars before release.
