Lote Maestro's Extra Añejo is made in El Arenal, in Jalisco's Los Valles region, by the Partida family, who've been distilling tequila for generations. This 100% blue agave tequila spends extended time in oak, emerging a deep amber with reddish hues and a nose of ripe fruit and toasted wood. On the palate it's sweet and silky, with the oak folded into the agave rather than fighting it, finishing long. Best sipped neat, slowly, so the wood has room to unfold.
