Lobos 1707 Extra Añejo starts like any tequila should, 100% Blue Weber agave grown and distilled in Mexico, then takes an unexpected detour through Spain. After three years resting in American white oak, it finishes in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks, picking up sweet tobacco, smoked cinnamon, dried date, leather, and caramel over deep roasted agave, with the palate sliding from citrus into oak and a whisper of molasses. Bottled at 40% ABV. Pour it neat or on the rocks and let it unfold slowly.
