Nixta Licor de Elote channels the birthplace of corn itself: distilled and aged at Destilería Abasolo in Jilotepec, Mexico, from ancestral cacahuazintle maize grown near the Nevado de Toluca volcano. The 4,000-year-old nixtamalization process coaxes out the grain's deepest character, landing in the glass as sweet, toasted corn laced with vanilla and caramel. Bottled at 30% ABV, it's built to sweeten and deepen a stirred drink — bartenders reach for it in the Elote Old-Fashioned, swapping it for sugar alongside whiskey, mezcal, or tequila.
