Applejack is America's original spirit — New Jersey's Laird family has been making it since 1698, with a ledger entry proving a sale back in 1780. This blend folds aged apple brandy (about a third of the bottle) into neutral spirit, a lighter style the Lairds pioneered in 1972 to make apple brandy easier to sip and mix. Expect bright apple up front with a caramel finish. Great in a Jack Rose or an apple-forward whiskey swap, and it took home 92 points from Wine Enthusiast.
