Lágrimas del Valle's La Loma expression spotlights a single high-elevation ranch in Villamar, Michoacán, where mature blue agave hits a striking 38% brix. Distiller Salvador "Chava" Rosales Trejo, fourth generation of the Cascahuin family, cooks the agave in masonry ovens, splits the crush between steel roller mill and traditional stone tahona, then double-distills through steel and copper pots. Expect citrus peel, ripe melon, and roasted pine nuts up front, giving way to a layered, mineral agave finish — built for sipping neat or a bright, citrus-forward margarita.
