La Muse Verte Traditionnelle carries on a family recipe first blended in 1900, revived using original documents from the Berneau family in Bas-Armagnac. Eight botanicals—wormwood, star anise, lemon balm, sage, fennel, and hyssop among them—macerate individually before careful blending, and fresh-cut baby absinthe leaves lend the spirit its natural jade color, no additives involved. Bottled at a historic 68% ABV, it took the Chairman's Trophy at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge. Expect herbaceous, floral anise on the nose and palate — a classic pour for the slow drip over sugar and ice.
